The Canadian Chapter of the International Institute of Communications was established in 1988. Today IIC Canada operates as a not-for-profit public-private forum bringing together the communications industry, government, and academia to analyze and debate Canadian and international trends in broadcasting, telecommunications, digital policy, and media production. Our parent organization, the International Institute of Communications (IIC), established in Ditchley Park, UK, in 1969, provides senior professionals across the communications industry with the prospect of intellectually open and thought-provoking debate within a forum that analyzes market and policy developments around the world. As a leading independent membership organization focused on global telecommunications, media and digital media policy and regulation, and their impact on business and society, the IIC offers the opportunity to share experiences between practicing communications professionals, policymakers, regulators and academics.
With a worldwide membership, coordinated through a London-based Secretariat, Members of the IIC – both corporate and individual – are drawn from across the communications community and include policymakers, academics, industry representatives and regulatory affairs agencies. Membership in the IIC provides access to a rich and diverse network of professionals around the world.
Further information about the benefits and services that are offered to categories of IIC membership is available at: www.iicom.org.
